O PROFISSIONAL DE ENFERMAGEM FRENTE A VIOLÊNCIA CONTRA A PESSOA IDOSA

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this work was to analyze it through a bibliographic
review as conceptions of nursing professionals working in Health Units regarding
the detection and prevention of elderly people who protect violence. The survey
of data relevant to the research was carried out through a bibliographic review,
which is not based on material already prepared, consisting of books, websites
and scientific articles. Consecrated authors were adopted, who have extensive
experience on the subject addressed. Thus, it is concluded that an elderly
population needs to be educated in an educative and simple way about all the
nuances of violence and instructions, consequently, to denounce and seek
protection and social support mechanisms, minimizing vulnerabilities and
enabling a quality, healthy life, tranquility and dignity. As for emergency care,
emergency services and health centers deserve special attention, as they provide
access to violence.
